Clarinet and Trumpet are friends from the very first note. But their friendship falls flat when a new woodwind - Oboe - sets the tone in the music room. Trumpet tries everything to get Clarinet's attention again, but Clarinet doesn't change her tune. The story crescendos until the woodwinds face off against the brass section in an ear-splitting musical duel.

SCHOOL LIBRARY JOURNAL:
”A lyrical tour de force about individuality, friendship, and community, this humorous picture book highlights such values through musical instruments, showing how even small fractures can become deep divisions.”

KIRKUS:
”…There’s a bright, infectious energy to the illustrations that plays well with the narrative’s musical idiom.”

When housecats Pasha and Poop move to Strawberry Lane with their humans, they find themselves in the domain of the shadowy Scaredy Cat, a feline spectre who demands that they follow his rules for being a proper cat or he'll bring chaos to their home – knocking over lamps and spilling kitty litter everywhere!

But Pasha and Poop are rebellious and headstrong and they won't follow the ridiculous rules of the Scaredy Cat like all of the other pets on the block. Together with a stray named Ermine, they set out to find the truth behind who the Scaredy Cat really is, and how they can end his reign of mischief-making for good.

PUBLISHER’S WEEKLY:
”Herzog’s black & white animation-style illustrations of the cast add a layer of whimsy…”

KIRKUS:
"A-mew-sing fare for readers who sometimes feel like fraidycats themselves."
